Prince William Set to Attend UN Climate Conference in Brazil

The Prince of Wales will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, according to palace sources.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering ahead of the environmental conference, which is set to be held in the Amazonian city of Belém.

The King and Prince were participating in the scientific institution event, marking an unusual joint appearance at a climate summit preparatory event arranged together with the UK government.

Climate Leadership Commitment

The King has been a consistent supporter of protecting nature - and Prince William has assumed the responsibility, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be held in Brazil before the COP summit.

Royal sources have characterized Prince William's attendance at the upcoming climate summit as assuming an crucial position in "global climate discussions".

Recent Engagements

The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the official car, were greeted attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, foreign representatives and government officials.

This involvement included speaking together with President Emmanuel Macron of the French Republic and other international figures at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in the Principality of Monaco during the current year.

The climate conference will dovetail with the prince's own sustainability recognition program, which will finish in Rio de Janeiro the day before he participates in the COP summit on November 6th.
